What to expect
Our bee experience days offer a 2 hour unique opportunity to delve into the world of beekeeping whilst being in a friendly and relaxed environment. You'll get supervised hands-on experience and learn all about the inner workings of a beehive, the roles within the colony, the importance of honeybees for pollination and the ecosystem and how honey is made.
A taste of honey
No bee experience day would be complete without a taste of our delicious Honey! Sample different varieties and learn about the unique flavours and characteristics of each. You'll also get to see the honey extraction process and understand how we ensure the highest quality honey from our hives.

How to book
Bee experience days are only available throughout the beekeeping season - May until August.
To arrange a booking, please send us an email at haughleyhoney@outlook.com or use the online contact form, we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
Experiences usually last around two hours, which includes all time getting into beesuits, with the bees and honey tasting.
The cost is £120.00 per person. A maximum number of 4 people per experience, however we can offer larger group experiences by prior arrangement.
Available for ages 16 and above, children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Experiences are weather dependant, sometimes we have to cancel if it's too cold, wet or windy as these conditions are not suitable to work with the bees. Should we have to postpone your day a new date will be offered.
Vouchers are valid for one year and are non refundable.
We supply you with a protective beesuit and gloves during the experience and require you to wear wellington boots.
A full disclaimer form that you need to sign before hand will be issued to you on booking, along with full PPE requirements for the day. Anyone not complying, will not be allowed to continue and the experience day will not be refunded.
Please note that we try our best to ensure you are safe from bees, however cannot guarantee your safety and that you won't get stung, if you have allergies to stings, we recommend this experience isn’t for you.
